- Dimensions: 101 x 94 x 37mm
- Weight: 42g
At the centre of the composition sits a sculpted squirrel, perched proudly atop a solid, block like base. The squirrel’s simplified form features pronounced ears, a gently arched back, and a bushy tail curling upward. These exaggerated shapes give the sculpture character, while the deliberate surface striations create the illusion of traditional carving. Together, they evoke the feeling of a handmade object, while maintaining a clean and intentional silhouette.
Visually Engaging from All Sides: Carved Wood-Style Squirrel on a Box Sculpture
Each angle of the sculpture reveals thoughtful detail. Viewed from the front, the squirrel’s upright posture appears alert and full of personality. From the sides, the soft curve of the tail adds movement and contrast to the otherwise boxy base. The top down view emphasizes the relationship between the squirrel and the base, showcasing how the two elements work in visual balance.
The box itself is a key part of the design. Its sharp edges and flat surfaces provide contrast to the rounded features of the squirrel, grounding the composition. Although minimalist in form, the base elevates the squirrel physically and stylistically. The clean geometry of the box allows the squirrel to shine as the focal point, while offering a strong, stable platform.
Printed in Matte PLA with a Wood-Inspired Finish
This sculpture is 3D printed using matte PLA, a durable, light material derived from renewable sources. The layered surface texture mimics the look of carved wood, complete with subtle ridges and linear striations. This printed texture captures the feel of a traditional wooden figurine, while maintaining the consistency and clarity of modern fabrication.
The matte finish softens the appearance of the piece, preventing unwanted shine or glare. As a result, it appears natural and tactile, especially in warm or neutral lighting. The sculpture is suitable for bookshelves, end tables, entryway displays, or rustic themed vignettes.
